General Information on Data Processing
We process personal data of visitors to our website only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website and our content and services. Processing regularly takes place on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), (b) GDPR (contract or pre-contractual measures) or (f) GDPR (legitimate interest), unless statutory provisions require a different legal basis.
Hosting and Server Log Files
This website is hosted by an external hosting provider: netcup GmbH, Daimlerstraße 25, 76185 Karlsruhe, Germany. The server on which the website is operated is located in netcup's data center in Vienna, Austria -- your data therefore remains within Austria and the EU. Each time our website is accessed, our hosting provider automatically collects so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits. These include: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, referrer URL, browser type and version, and operating system. This data is not merged with other data sources. Collection is based on our legitimate interest in the technically error-free operation and security of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is automatically deleted after a short period.
Cookies
Our website uses technically necessary cookies set by WordPress itself (e.g. to maintain a session in the internal editorial area). These cookies are required for the operation of the website and cannot be disabled.
With your consent, we additionally use Google Analytics to analyse website usage as well as Google Ads conversion tracking to measure the effectiveness of our advertising (see the "Google Analytics" and "Google Ads Conversion Tracking" sections below for details). On your first visit you will be asked for consent via a cookie consent banner; without consent, neither analytics nor advertising cookies are set. In addition, embedding the Instagram feed (see below) may set cookies from the third-party provider Meta as soon as the feed is loaded.
Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics on this website, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies or comparable technologies that enable an analysis of your use of our website.
Your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the EU or the EEA (IP anonymisation), so that a direct link to your identity is excluded. The data collected within the framework of Google Analytics is processed by Google on our behalf in order to evaluate the use of our website, compile reports on website activity and provide us with further services relating to website usage.
Google Analytics is only loaded once you have actively given your consent in the cookie consent banner. The legal basis is therefore your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future:
You can also prevent data collection by Google Analytics by installing the browser add-on for disabling Google Analytics: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
For further information on how Google handles user data, please see Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Ads Conversion Tracking
With your consent, we use Google Ads conversion tracking on this website, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). This allows us to measure whether visitors who came to our website via one of our Google ads subsequently submitted an enquiry through one of our forms. This enables us to evaluate the success of our advertising and deploy our advertising budget in a targeted manner.
For this purpose, Google sets cookies or processes comparable identifiers in your browser. In particular, the ad's click ID, the time, the page visited, your IP address, and technical browser and device information are transmitted to Google. In addition, we use the Google Ads "enhanced conversions" feature: if you submit a form, your email address and, where applicable, other contact details (e.g. phone number or name) are converted into an irreversible hash value using the SHA-256 method already in your browser, and are transmitted to Google only in this pseudonymised form, so that Google can match the enquiry to a previous ad click. The remaining content of your enquiry (e.g. your message) is not passed on to Google. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google that do not allow individual persons to be identified. The data is not used for personalised advertising.
We use Google's consent mode: the Google Ads tag is only loaded once you have actively given your consent in the cookie consent banner. The legal basis is therefore your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or Section 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act (TKG) 2021. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by changing your selection via the "Reopen Cookie Settings" button in the "Google Analytics" section.
A transfer of data to Google LLC in the USA cannot be ruled out. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; an adequate level of data protection therefore exists for data transferred under this framework (Art. 45 GDPR).
Further information can be found in Google's Privacy Policy as well as in Google's Ads Data Processing Terms.
Contact, Application and Inquiry Forms
Our website offers several forms, including the general contact form, the sales partner application form, the test request form for the Test & Competence Center, and the application form on the careers page (including file upload for CV and certificates, up to 2 MB each).
In doing so, we process the data you voluntarily enter (e.g. name, email address, phone number, message, and any uploaded documents). The data is transmitted to our server via an encrypted connection and forwarded by email via our Microsoft 365 infrastructure to the relevant mailbox within our company. The data is not stored in a publicly accessible database.
The legal basis for enquiries about our products/services is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measure or contract performance); for applications it is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR in conjunction with Section 26 of the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG), or your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. We delete application documents no later than six months after the conclusion of the respective selection process, unless you have expressly consented to longer retention (e.g. in an applicant pool). All forms contain a hidden anti-spam field ("honeypot"); filling it in leads to the automatic rejection of the submission.
Datasheet Request (Lead Form)
Downloading certain technical datasheets requires you to provide contact details via a short form. The data collected in this process (name, email address, company) is used exclusively to send you the requested documents and, where there is a legitimate interest, to follow up on your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR.
Google Fonts
For a consistent display of fonts, our website embeds the font "Roboto Condensed" from Google Fonts, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). When our website is accessed, a connection is established to Google's servers, which may result in your IP address being transmitted to Google.
This use is based on our legitimate interest in a technically stable and consistent presentation of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For further information on how Google handles user data, please see Google's Privacy Policy.
Instagram Feed
On our news page, we use the "Smash Balloon Social Photo Feed" plugin to embed public posts from our Instagram channel @atmfohnsdorf. The provider is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland; a transfer of data to the parent company Meta Platforms, Inc., based in the USA, cannot be ruled out.
When the feed is loaded, your IP address may be transmitted to Meta, and Meta may set its own cookies, over whose content and scope we have no influence. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in an appealing presentation of our social media presence (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Further information is available in Instagram/Meta's Privacy Policy.
Disclosure of Data
Your personal data is only disclosed to third parties where this is necessary to fulfil a contract (e.g. to sales partners you have contacted as part of an enquiry), where required by law, or where you have expressly consented. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Storage Period
Unless a more specific storage period is stated in this policy, your personal data will be deleted by us as soon as it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected and no statutory retention obligations (e.g. under the Austrian Commercial Code or the Federal Fiscal Code) preclude deletion.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you generally have the following rights:
- Right to information (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)

Automated Decision-Making
No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place on our website.
Data Security
We use TLS/SSL encryption during your visit to the website. Despite regular checks, complete protection against all risks cannot be guaranteed; a residual risk always remains whenever information is transmitted over the internet.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the privacy policy. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
